Surfboards and accessories are mainly produced from oil.
A surfboard in 6’1, using polyester resin, has a carbon weight of 180kg of CO². An epoxy longboard is around 450 kg of equivalent CO². It’s more than a flight Los Angeles – Hawai which is around 340 kg of CO² per person.
To face this challenge, we work only with EPS foam which is partially recycled (up to 25%) and 100% recyclable. The epoxy resin used is 40% made from vegetal and biomass by products. We try to use natural fiber as much as we can and have some of our boards made with Linen/basalt fibers
Our pad is 100% made in cork and our fins are made with recycled plastique.
Same goes with our clothing where with use Organic coton and recycled polyester. Made in Portugal and France.
