Surfboards and surfing accessories are mainly produced by the oil industry.
The surfing industry pollutes a lot. To reduce our impact, we source and develop alternative raw materials that allow us to reduce our carbon footprint.
Our boards are made of biosourced polystyrene foam (EPS) for some of our models or partially recycled for others. The resin is 40% biosourced and on some models we replace the central slat by natural flax and basalt fiber.
By performing the LCA of our boards we were able to identify a 20% reduction in carbon emissions compared to polyurethane foam boards manufactured in Asia.
Our pad is largely made of natural and recycled material as it uses cork. With 80% recycled cork we reduce our carbon emissions by 62% compared to a pad made in Asia from virgin EVA foam.
Our fins are made of recycled fishing nets and are 100% recyclable. A saving of 40% of CO2 compared to fins manufactured in Asia.
Finally, our clothing line is made from organic cotton and recycled polyester, woven in Portugal and manufactured in France.
